The 325th Infantry, 82nd Division in WWI: The 82nd Division (later the 82nd Airborne) was an American Expeditionary Force (AEF) unit, formed at Camp Gordon, Georgia, in August 1917. The 325th Infantry Regiment was a part of this division. The 82nd Division gained fame for being composed of men from every state, earning it the nickname "All-American." It saw heavy combat in the last months of the war, notably in the St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives.
